Henry Holder 'Silhouette'

Henry Holder 'Silhouette'

2017, Etching with Aquatint, 29.5 x 39.5

Henry Holder's current practice concentrates on the civil domain, through print based mediums. His works are made through a decisive form of intaglio, using a sandblaster on Perspex and dry pointed marks to create a print from the surface. The figures in the works are anonymous portraits of civilians in and out of their environment.

Holder explains "I was looking towards people who make themselves aware or those who are unaware, during a moment of action, or involvement. An overcast, but with a chance of sun sort of public observation."
